About Larchmont Engineering & Irrigation

Larchmont Engineering & Irrigation has been an innovative leader since 1949. Larchmont has been serving New England as a distributor of Irrigation, Drainage, Landscape Lighting, Pumps, Fountains and Winter Products.
In 1949 Larchmont Farms was formed by Philip and Joseph Tropeano. It was Phil’s vision to design and manufacture special farming equipment to fit the requirements of the local farm industry. In 1950 irrigation was added to the line and ever since, Larchmont has specialized in all types of irrigation systems and equipment

In 1951, Phil designed and Larchmont manufactured various snow making nozzles. From 1958 to 1976 Larchmont was marketing and installing several hundred snowmaking systems that were sold throughout the world. It was at that time the name was changed from Larchmont Farms to Larchmont Engineering & Irrigation.

Over time, Larchmont expanded product lines to include irrigation products, landscape lighting, drainage, pumps, fountains, winter products and so much more. We stock products from all the major manufacturers including Hunter, Rain Bird, Netafim, Irritrol and Weathermatic.

Phil Tropeano’s forward-thinking and bold product ideas advanced not only Larchmont Engineering but the irrigation industry overall.
